Halloween Pavilion's Success at Toy Fair® Paves Way for Future Seasonal Exhibits

halloween-boolevardOctober 31, 2023 | Following the success of the Halloween Pavilion at Toy Fair 2023, The Toy Association™ anticipates new collaborations and opportunities to curate seasonal showcases at future events, opening more doors for the toy community to parallel industries.

At this past Toy Fair, the Halloween Pavilion on the show floor and the BOOlevard showcase (a graveyard-themed showcase near the high-traffic registration area) highlighted companies specializing in Halloween-related products (i.e., costumes, games, collectibles, accessories, décor, props, novelties, special effects equipment, and more). These seasonal areas opened opportunities for buyers and vendors to plan for Halloween 2024 before the year came to a close, while some retailers placed orders for the current year.

“From games based on classic horror films to haunting collectibles with incredible detail, products featured in our bewitching displays captivated attendees, showcasing the thriving success of companies dedicated to all things Halloween,” said Kimberly Carcone, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association. “We envision this success as a steppingstone toward more curated areas at future events, creating a platform for exhibitors to showcase their products in alignment with evolving trends and preferences.”

Exhibitors found the experience to be a valuable investment with tangible benefits. “Showing at the Halloween Pavilion at Toy Fair was well worth it for us. We had a few very substantial walk-ins and were also able to have extra meetings with some of our key existing customers,” said Mike Gertler, director of product development at Woochie @ Cinema Secrets.

Similarly, Robert Berman, president and CEO at Rasta Imposta, emphasized the broader scope of opportunities at Toy Fair that the Halloween Pavilion provided. “It was a fantastic opportunity to meet new customers, reconnect with industry friends, and get exposure at the world-famous Toy Fair,” he said.

The global toy industry will come together once again for the 119th Toy Fair, taking place March 1 to 4, 2025 at the Javits Center in New York City.
