Toy Fair New York to Welcome University Students during “Student Congress Day”

December 13, 2021 | University students will have the opportunity to attend Toy Fair New York’s Student Congress Day, taking place Tuesday, February 22, 2022. The event will welcome undergrads to the largest toy show in the Western Hemisphere for a chance to network with industry experts, experience a hands-on creative workshop led by Spirit Halloween’s Carlos Mendoza, and visit exhibitor booths on the show floor.

The day-long Student Congress Day will be hosted by Kathleen Campisano, global chief marketing officer at ChizComm & general manager of Beacon Media Group.

“Following our inaugural event in 2020, which welcomed more than 200 students from 30 schools, we are excited to invite even more newcomers to Toy Fair and continue to foster the growth of future playmakers and innovators,” said Kimberly Carcone, senior vice president of global market events at The Toy Association.

The Fashion Institute of Technology’s Toy Design Department and Otis College of Art & Design’s Toy Design Program have both confirmed their participation. School administrations and toy companies with established relationships with students, or young professionals on their staff attending Toy Fair, are invited to contact Jackie Retzer, senior manager of event marketing at The Toy Association, for details on how to participate.

The full schedule of events for Student Congress Day will be unveiled next month. Toy Fair registration is free to all currently enrolled university-level students and open now. To learn more about Student Congress Day and additional Toy Fair New York events, visit ToyFairNY.com.
