toy fair everywhereAugust 18, 2020 | The second Toy Fair Everywhere market week is underway, giving global buyers, play professionals and the media exclusive access to shop nearly 190 exhibitors, 760+ brands, and more than 30,000 toys and games. Here is a breakdown of what’s happening this market week:

  • Scout the Trends
In a digital toy trends briefing that picked up where the Toy Fair New York briefing left off, The Toy Association’s team of trend experts discussed the mid-year trends that have driven global toy industry sales since the pandemic began and what’s ahead for Q4: Generations of Play, Education Toys, Parent-Driven Purchases, and Kids’ Wish Lists. Toy Fair Everywhere attendees have exclusive access to the presentation under the “Programs” tab on the Toy Fair Everywhere platform when logged in. It will be released to the public at a later date.

  • Meet Buyers
With international travel continuing to be restricted, the August market week is expected to deliver even more opportunities for exhibitors to do business digitally on an international scale. The July market week brought in thousands of buyers from 60+ countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, and Spain. The market week also brought in buyers from countries not represented at Toy Fair New York such as Antigua and Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, Iraq, Kenya, and Slovenia.

  • Hear Stories
Recordings from The Toy Association’s “Generations of Play, An Oral History” project, powered by StoryCorps, are now available for listening under the “Programs” tab once logged into the Toy Fair Everywhere platform. Recorded in-person during Toy Fair New York, this is the opportunity to hear inspiring stories from industry leaders in the play and toy community.

  • Get Educated
Attendees will have access to complimentary on-demand education content throughout the show covering topics such as e-commerce in China, insurance options amid the pandemic, and toy safety as well as exclusive Kidz Global research. They can be accessed on the Toy Fair Everywhere platform under the Knowledge Network section under “Programs.”
