The Toy Association Showcases New Headquarters to Members and Toy Professionals

July 17, 2017 | The Toy Association rolled out the red carpet at its New York City headquarters over the past few weeks, welcoming members, play professionals, and industry influencers to its brand-new office space for networking, learning, and most importantly, fun!

The Toy Association’s new and improved headquarters was unveiled in conjunction with a variety of exciting changes reflecting a new era for the organization.

First at the end of June, Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment utilized the Association’s new NYC office and hosted a networking breakfast for its members.

The events continued last week when The Toy Association invited select bloggers and digital influencers from The Toy Insider’s Sweet Suite event to visit the offices and learn important toy safety tips from the Association’s “Toy Safety Mom,” Joan Lawrence. The Association hosted a lunch on Wednesday, July 12 and a breakfast on Thursday, July 13 to educate guests on the importance of safe and fun play.

The festivities culminated on the evening of Thursday, July 13, when the Association held a lively happy hour event for more than 100 members, vendors, and other toy and play professionals. Guests toured the bright, creative new offices, mingled with colleagues and Toy Association staff, and enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Visitors took in an array of playful elements at the office space, designed by world-renowned architects at HLW International, including: a dedicated wall highlighting all 74 inductees in the Toy Industry Hall of Fame, the “Dominoes Huddle Room” – a small conference space with one wall covered in 7,000 color dot dominoes donated by Goliath Games, the “Mr. Potato Head Focus Room,” featuring 45 Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head Silly Suitcase Sets donated by Hasbro, and a wall highlighting the 100+-year history of The Toy Association.

“From the WIT member breakfast to our events that catered to Sweet Suite bloggers to our amazing cocktail party, our members are already seeing firsthand proof that we designed this space with their needs in mind,” says Steve Pasierb, Toy Association president & CEO. “We have private offices that can be booked, flexible meeting rooms, and other features available so that members can think of our headquarters as their home away from home for all of their New York City business dealings.”
