December 16, 2025 | In 2025, The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) made great strides to advance its mission to unite the toy industry in delivering the benefits of play to children in need. Thanks to the support of companies and individuals at every level, the Foundation delivered the benefits of play to more than 2.4 million children worldwide.

“Thanks to the generosity of the toy industry, we were able to deliver the power of play to millions of children – including kids and families dealing with hospitalizations, natural disasters, and many other difficult circumstances,” said Pam Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation. “We are only able to achieve this impact with the toy industry’s united support, and every donor can take pride in knowing their contribution delivered joy to a child in need.”

There is still time to support this work with an end-of-year gift through TTF’s Holiday Gift Catalog, Every donation will allow TTF to build on this momentum; expand its Toy Chest and Play Fund programs; and bring even more comfort, joy, and hope to children this holiday season and beyond.

The highlights below capture a portion of a remarkable 2025 and offer a glimpse at the lasting impact of the toy industry’s philanthropy:

  • Toy Chest collected and distributed 2 million+ toys from 300 donations. The Foundation expresses gratitude to 2025’s most frequent supporters, including AYK Brands, Ja-Ru, Jazwares, Just Play, The LEGO Group, Snap Creative, Spin Master / Melissa & Doug, Tee Turtle, and Vango LLC.
  • Play Fund awarded $405,000 to 23 children’s hospitals to fund play projects that comforted 245,000 pediatric patients. As a result of the funding, children are able to develop stronger coping skills and have an improved hospital experience overall.
  • Delivered toys and funding to 100,000 children affected by natural disasters, including the January 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, the July 2025 Central Texas floods, the October 2025 hurricane in Jamaica, and many others.
  • Raised $1.3 million for children in need through the toy industry’s collective support at two TTF events, the Toy of the Year® Awards in New York and the Golf & Give FUNdraiser in Los Angeles.
  • Initiated toy collections and engagement opportunities at industry events, including Toy Fair®, LA Fall Preview, Chicago Toy & Game Fair, and the first Annual Day of Play on Capitol Hill.

TTF’s work is not done until every child has access to play, and a year-end gift will help expand the Toy Chest and Play Fund programs in 2026. To support, shop TTF’s Holiday Gift Catalog, which features a variety of items benefiting both programs that will deliver play to children in under-resourced communities, schools, and hospitals.
