October 23, 2017 | Registration is officially open for the 115th North American International Toy Fair, taking place Saturday, February 17 to Tuesday, February 20, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
More than 30,000 play professionals are expected at this year’s show to scope out the newest toys, games, and youth entertainment products for 2018; engage in deal-making; network with peers; and more.
“We are expecting more than 10,000 buyers at Toy Fair – each one of them looking for the next hot toy or game,” says Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association, the trade group that produces the show. “With 443,000 square feet of confirmed exhibit space, Toy Fair 2018 is on track to surpass last year’s record-breaking show.”
About 1,000 exhibitors from 30 countries will showcase hundreds of thousands of new playthings at Toy Fair, including arts & crafts, board games and puzzles, dolls and plush, action figures, infant and toddler toys, tech toys, STREAM toys, outdoor playthings, and more.
Buyers will be able to view products from big-name and veteran toy brands throughout the Javits Center; those who visit the Launch Pad area (Hall E) will spot innovative toys from first-time exhibitors.
“Toy Fair is also attracting an increasing number of international toy manufacturers looking to get a foothold in the U.S. market – making for a truly dynamic event that is unlike any other toy show in the world,” adds Bossard.
The fun doesn’t stop there – attendees will be able to learn valuable industry insights during a series of Toy Fair Knowledge Network seminars covering licensing, safety and compliance, toy and play trends, global market research, entrepreneurship, invention/design, and more. Special after-hours events and activities will also take place during Toy Fair week, including the Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards gala on Friday, February 16 at New York City’s Ziegfeld Theatre.
